How it works

Nominations were open during July to any site with something to do with Brighton & Hove.

We received over 130 nominations and recruited a team of 16 judges from the local area - some are web designers, others are regular web users. They reviewed all the sites submitted and came up with a shortlist of five sites in each category.

Those shortlists were posted on the Argus website for voting during September and over 2000 people cast their votes for their favourite sites.

Voting closed at the end of September and the winners were announced at a special ceremony on 7 October and posted here the day after.
