View the Mona Lisa without
going to Paris, visit The Tate without leaving home or discover
artists you've never heard of before. More and more artists and
art galleries are showing their work on the internet. You can look
at the artwork, read reviews and maybe even purchase something that
you like the look of (or a print or postcard as a cheaper alternative!).
Its no substitute for seeing the original piece of art but it is
a good way of viewing collections from around the world. Local artists
are getting in on the act too - several art groups in the area now
have their own websites.
